Baby Monitors vs Smart Meters

With BC Hydro switching out the conventional meters for 'smart meters' there are lots of questions around what kind of impact this will have on our health - more particularly, concern with the emissions let off from the meters.

I recently came across some info I found interesting that I thought you other geeky mama's might appreciate. BC Center for Disease Control (BCCDC) asked BC Hydro for permission to test some of their smart meters. They set them up solo and in a bank of ten meters and tested the emissions from different distances.
HOW DID THEY MEASURE UP
This chart compares the emissions from a smart meter (outside the home) with the emissions from some common household devices.

Hmm... maybe I should turn off that baby monitor when I'm not using it? And maybe I shouldn't sleep with my cell phone under my pillow anymore!
